Heart of Worship


Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

Perfect heart like David’s I Kings 11:4 . . . and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

A Perfect heart is one like David’s praising with the whole heart
Psalm 138 :1-2 1 <<A Psalm of David.>> I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

New Dispensation every 2000 years

Restoration of Tabernacle of David Acts 15:16-17 16 After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; 17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord who does all these things.

It was David who made the discovery that we can actually ENTER HIS
GATES with Thanksgiving & His Courts with Praise (Psalm 100)
That we can get into God’s presence through our praise & worship

– God’s final plan is that the tabernacle of His presence is in us!
You are that tabernacle
Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God:

True Worship & Praise involves the whole man—body, soul, and spirit

True worship will elicit the despising of traditionalists and religious
I Chronicles 15:29 And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

Rejection of true worship and praise leads to spiritual barrenness.
2 Samuel 6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.


We know that He abides in our praises.
Psalm 22:3 But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.

II Chronicles 5:13-14 13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.


Tabernacle of David (Heart of Worship) is:
1. Place of Joy Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

2. Place of Strength Psalm 89:15-17 15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound 16 In Your name they rejoice all day long, And in Your righteousness they are exalted. 17 For You are the glory of their strength, And in Your favor our horn is exalted.
Nehemiah 8:10 . . .the joy of the Lord is your strength . . .
Worshipless people are always weak to the attacks of the enemy
a. worry/fear
b. financial troubles
c. sickness
d. depression/suicide
e. temptation

3. Place of True Spiritual Warfare
Psalm 149:6-9 6 Let the high praises (exaltation) of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 144:1, 9 1 <<A Psalm of David.>> Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: 9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

Jehosophat II Chronicles 20

**Ammonites war against Judah1 And it came to pass after this, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them some of the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle. 2 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea from Syria; and, behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar (the same is En-gedi).

**Israel seeks God 4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to seek help of Jehovah: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek Jehovah.

**Jehosophat prays 12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

` **People praise 19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites, stood up to praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, with an exceeding loud voice.

**Praisers in front of army 21 And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed them that should sing unto Jehovah, and give praise in holy array, as they went out before the army, and say, Give thanks unto Jehovah; for his lovingkindness endureth for ever.

**Confusion in the enemies’ camp 22 And at the first notes of song and praise the Lord sent a surprise attack against the children of Ammon and Moab and the people of Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were overcome. 23 And the children of Ammon and Moab made an attack on the people of Mount Seir with a view to their complete destruction; and when they had put an end to the people of Seir, everyman's hand was turned against his neighbour for his destruction. 24 And Judah came to the watchtower of the waste land, and looking in the direction of the army, they saw only dead bodies stretched on the earth; no living man was to be seen.

Worship mixed with Intercession defeats the enemy
Revelation 5:8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living
creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each
having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of
the saints.9 and they sang a new song, saying: YOU ARE WORTHY . . .

Revelation 8:3-5 3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.

Paul and Silas cast out the spirit of divination from the slave girl (Acts 16:16-22

Acts 16:23-26 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
